Le Vignoble

Contrasting soils

Saint-Émilion's exceptional wines are due to the great diversity of its terroirs.
The amazing nuances can be attributed to remarkably varied geology (limestone, clay-limestone, gravel, and sandy soils) and a microclimate ideally suited to winegrowing.
This unique geology, combined with loving care in the vineyard, results in ripe, healthy (predominately Merlot) grapes. The infinite variety of Saint-Émilion wines is also due to the art of blending different proportions of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec with Merlot. This makes for a huge spectrum of aromas and flavours highly appreciated by wine lovers around the world.
