Château Franc Mayne, a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé, is located to the north-west of Saint-Emilion, about 1km from the village centre along the paths crossing the vineyards of this mythical Bordeaux appellation. Along the ancient Gallo-Roman road, the estate breathes the sweetness of life. A coaching inn built in the 16th century on the road to Compostela bears witness to a long tradition of hospitality on the property, a place of welcome and rest away from the road.
Throughout the year, Château Franc Mayne opens its doors to visitors with a unique oenotouristic proposal, offering a plunge into its universe and its two hectares of underground quarries, a memory of the territories that is both spectacular and educational.
As you walk through the vineyard, which has been certified organic farming from 2022, and the vat room, you will first discover the work in the vineyard and the methods used to make Château Franc Mayne wines. The visit continues in the old stone quarries, the central point of the tour.
These underground galleries, one of the largest in the appellation and accessible to the public, are a special feature of the property.
The visit ends with the magic of the ageing cellar, a precious heritage housed in this emblematic underground maze of Saint-Emilion. The tasting then takes on its full meaning to reveal the style of the wines and the spirit of Château Franc Mayne.

To perpetuate its long tradition of hospitality, Château Franc Mayne offers its visitors its guest house, entirely renovated in 2019, which cultivates the charm and authenticity of an 18th century residence. A hut perched in a century-old cedar tree completes this offer.
