Discover the vineyards in an organic way! This short, pleasant 6 km walk is made up of small paths and wooded areas.
The stages
From the tourist office, turn right into rue des écoles.
At the end, turn right through the Porte Saint-Martin. Proceed as far as the ‘cédez le passage’ sign. Turn left, then take the one-way street between the low walls along Ch. Canon (watch out for traffic).
At the intersection (Ch. Canon sign), take the road that branches off to the right towards Ch. Beau-Séjour Bécot.
Continue straight ahead into the entrance to Ch. Beau-Séjour Bécot. Follow it and take the path on the right at the green signpost (direction ‘boucle de Mazerat par Coutet’).
Go straight ahead through the trees. Opposite the Ch. Coutet property sign, turn right onto the tarmac road. At the junction, take the dirt track on the left (follow the sign ‘point de vue remarquable, camping, aire de repos’).
Take the 1st path on the right between the vines (signposted Franc Mayne).
Look out for the Gallo-Roman furrows in front of you. Continue straight ahead through the trees on your left until you reach the green signpost. Turn left onto the path that leads down through the trees to the main road.
Cross the D243 and join Ch. Ambe Tour Pourret opposite. Continue along this winding road and pass Ch. Vieux Pourret. You will arrive at Ch. Côte de Baleau.
At the end of the avenue of trees, before the crossroads, take the grassy path on your left.
At the end of the plot, turn right (green signpost), then go straight on until you reach the road.
Turn right onto the road.
Take the 1st road on the right. Go past the Ch. Laniote.
At Ch. Fonroque, turn left onto the small track and you'll see the property. Retrace your steps and continue straight ahead until you reach a tarmac road.
Once you reach the road, turn left. Continue until you reach the main road.
At the stop sign, turn left (watch out for traffic).
At the Clos Fourtet sign, turn right along the low walls.
You will arrive at Place Raymond Poincaré (statue of the war memorial).
Cross the square and walk past the Maison des Vins to the tourist office.
