A romantic garden in the Dordogne
Half en hour far from Saint-Émilion, discover these English and Italian gardens classified Remarquable Gardens. Those gardens are adjacent to the 18th century house.
Their restoration in the 20th century, has elegantly combined the mineral and the vegetal that characterize this site. Facing the house, the perspective of the long pool framed by hedges and vertical cypresses evokes Tuscany. Mixed-borders offer the charm of English gardens.
More recently, a Mediterranean-inspired dry garden has been created to enhance the entrance to the estate and the courtyard.
Most of the tour takes place in the shade of the hornbeam corridor and oak woodland.
