Château Puynormond, located in Montagne, has been a family property since 1923. It is now Catherine and Philippe Lamarque (sister and brother), 4th generation, who welcome visitors to pass on their passion.
From its limestone escarpment, Château Puynormond dominates an amphitheatre of vines. The vines are rooted in different geological layers composed of asteritic limestone, clay, iron dross and mineral compounds, which attest to the presence of an ocean on the very site of the estate several million years ago. The vineyard is mainly composed of Merlot but also Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
Come and discover the history and know-how of our family all year round from Monday to Saturday, from 10.00am to 12.30pm and from 1.30pm to 7pm. The visit of the property will end with the tasting of our two vintages "Les Vieilles Vignes" and "Château Puynormond" on different vintages. It is possible to enhance your visit with a meal prepared by a caterer (on reservation).
