Château d'Anvichar is located on the extension of the Saint-Emilion plateau. The complexity of the limestone and clay soils confers elegance and depth to our merlot wines. The vines average thirty five years of age. We will be certified organic at the end of 2024.
Carol Zaist realised her dream of becoming a winemajer in purchasing the winery in 2021. A former business litigation attorney in California, she approaches this new profession with respect, reflection and ambition for her wine. Appreciative of tradition, she retained the name Château d'Anvichar, named after the three sons of the former owners: Antoine, Victor and Charles.
Our wines are part of an eco-responsible production, with a strong identity, prioritizing the terroir.
