This hilly route crosses the wine appellation Castillon-Côtes de Bordeaux and offers magnificent scenic views over the vineyards.
The stages
From the car park near the restaurant, turn right towards Castillon.
Turn right towards St. Colombe.
Leave the village and follow signs towards “Mairie-école”.
After the sign indicating St. Colombe, turn left towards Le Rey– Branque.
Turn right at the next junction towards Branque. Go down the slope and then up the next hill.
At the top of the hill, carefully turn left.
Take the first road to the right towards Belvès.
Cycle through the village and carry on towards Francs on the D119.
Cycle through the village and carry on towards Francs on the D119.
At the bottom of the slope, cycle past the golf course and go up the hill. At the top of the hill, carry straight on towards Francs.
On the next slope, follow the main road to the left.
On the next hill, cycle past the Côteau de Pey Landry and carry on cycling up.
At the crossroads, turn left towards Le Pin and Renier.
Carry on cycling up the main road, to the left.
At the top, turn onto the road to the left and cycle up it.
Cycle up to the water tower and the radio antenna and go straight on up to the stop.
Be careful and turn left towards St. Philippe d’Aiguille.
Cycle through the village, past the church and the town hall.
After the speed bump, turn right towards Vernon - Le Sac.
At the Ch. Vernon, turn left.
At the junction, take the road to the right.
Continue on this road, all the way up to St. Genès. At the stop sign, cycle on until the carpark.
