Right on the doorstep of the medieval town Château Sansonnet is located at the top of the clay-limestone plateau of Saint-Emilion, an exceptional terroir. The vineyard of 7 hectares in a single block, extends around the Chateau.
The property’s buildings were fully renovated in 2023. Our wines are now vinified in a new vat room equipped with cutting-edge technology and designed to encourage plot-by-plot work. The aging of our vintages into barrels, wooden casks and amphoras continues in the fully restored cellars.
To meet the expectations and curiosity of each guest, we imagined two different workshops.
IMMERSION WORKSHOP « In the footsteps of the winemaker »
Follow the steps of the winemaker to explore our terroir, the diversity of grape varieties and the vegetative cycle of the vine.
Continue this personalized tour in the vat room and cellars. A total immersion in the heart of our Grand Cru Classé for a better understanding of the winemaking and aging processes.
Then let yourself be guided by the awakening of your senses, during a lively tasting workshop in the “Orangerie”, a new reception area. Immerse yourself in a visual, olfactory and gustatory universe that will reveal the subtlety of our blends.

OENOLOGIE WORKSHOP « Barrel Tasting »
During a personalized tour in the vineyard, the vat room and the cellars, you will discover the characteristics of our soils and the typicity of the grape varieties.
You will also have the privilege of tasting the last vintage being aged, taken directly from the barrel.
This workshop offers an interactive approach to wine tasting, exploring the impact of the oak on the aromatic and gustatory complexity of our wines. Selection of coopers, wood species, degree of toasting, barrel making techniques… A unique experience!
