An 18km cycle ride along the Dordogne, starting in Sainte Terre and passing through Castillon-la-Bataille. With a relatively flat profile, this route is suitable for walkers of all ages who love nature and are looking for beautiful views of the river.
The stages
Leave the Jardin de la Lamproie in the direction of Sainte-Terre.
Follow the Dordogne to the village.
At the crossroads, turn right towards the village.
In the village, go past the church and keep going straight ahead.
Leave the town and turn slightly right onto Rue du Parlement (the condamines circuit).
Join the river, walk alongside it and cross the hamlet.
After the hamlet, leave the shoreline and follow the road as it forks to the left.
At the crossroads, turn right
Keep going straight ahead.
Go past the ‘Le Grand Cauley’ sign and enter Saint Magne-de-Castillon.
Turn right at the give-way opposite the stadium.
At the stop sign, turn right towards Rauzan.
Cross the bridge over the Dordogne using the pavement.
After the bridge, turn right towards Rauzan.
Continue straight on along the Dordogne.
Go straight on at Civrac.
Continue straight on towards Saint-Jean-de-Blaignac.
Drive past Château Courtebotte and climb the hill towards the village.
In the village, turn right down Rue du Pont towards the river.
At the bottom of Rue du Pont, take the bridge on the right.
Enter Lavagnac. Join the Jardin de la Lamproie. You've arrived.
