Château de Pasquette

Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

Château de Pasquette

Château de Pasquette, already mentioned in 1762 on the map of Belleyme, geographer of King Louis XV, was bought in 1942 by Mr. and Mrs. JABIOL, also owners of Château CADET-PIOLA, Saint Emilion Grand cru classé.

Since 2010 it has belonged to Marc and Laurence VINCENT, former owners of DOMAINE DE LA PALEINE in Anjou.

The vineyard is located at the foot of the southern slope of Saint-Emilion, where some of the Grands Crus classés are located, and benefits from an ideal amount of sunshine, while being protected from the northern winds.

The light soils on a clayey base give low yields, and thus ensure a consistent quality.3 hectares, this property is planted with 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. The average age of the plots is 35 years. The grapes are harvested by hand, with great care, when they have reached perfect maturity. Fermentation then takes place slowly and naturally, in stainless steel tanks, without excessive temperatures. The traditional ageing process is meticulously controlled with a stay in oak barrels. Bottling is carried out at the Château.

Thanks to the constant care taken, the respect of tradition combined with modernism, Château de Pasquette offers the best: a delicious bouquet, a lot of softness and delicacy. This wine expresses its great quality quite quickly, but can also withstand the weight of years in a good cellar.
